Nominations Are Being Accepted!


  1. The nominee must have performed an exceptionally courageous act attempting to save another person from death or serious burn injury from any fire source – house, car fire, chemical, etc.  (Civilian and/or uniformed personnel may be nominated).
  2. The rescue attempt must have involved a significant degree of personal risk – exposure to either death or severe injury. (The courageous act must have occurred within the Fire & Burn Foundation’s service area – Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Mono County and Inyo County.)
  3. Firefighters and law enforcement personnel are eligible for this award, but must have displayed a level of commitment not required or expected in the performance of their daily duties.

Nominations are solicited. Nominations received by set deadline. Committee receives nominations for review. Committee meets for selection. Recipients notified and invited to the banquet. Recipients and their guest are admitted to the banquet at no cost.
