You Can Help Send A Child To Camp!
More than 100,000 children become the victim of a burn injury every year. For more than 10 years, the Fire & Burn Foundation has run Embers of Hope, a 4-day winter camp in the San Bernardino County Mountains for burn survivor children, ages 5-to-17.
Can a child in your community count on your generosity this year?
Burn injuries can be catastrophic to a child’s psyche, and can steal the carefree joy of being young. For four days and three nights, Embers of Hope winter camp lightens their load, lifts their self-esteem and hands them back their childhood. Camp is a remarkable healing experience that helps transform burn victims into burn survivors, an experience that will last a lifetime.
How You Can Help
By making a donation today you can help a child attend our very special camp. Your generous donation will provide the following
- Transportation to and from camp
- Housing and meals for 4 days
- Counseling support sessions - led by trained social workers
- Skilled Nursing staff
- Special Activities such as ice skating, horseback riding, DJ's or live bands, cooking classes, team building activities, dancing instruction, and professional storytellers!
It costs $500 for one child to attend camp. If you can find it in your heart to sponsor a child for the full amount we’d be overjoyed. However, no gift is too small. Any amount you can contribute will defray the cost and would be truly appreciated.
Every dollar you donate helps us make a difference in the life of a very deserving child.
